Final Project Plan
Fly By
Premise
The next big opportunity is just around the corner.
Treatment
A boy and his dog play fetch in the park. The boy tosses his Frisbee several times and the dog retrieves it. On the third toss, the dog goes to catch the Frisbee in his jaw, but a hawk flies by and snatches up the Frisbee. The hawk flies to a nearby tree and begins to make a nest out of the disk. The upset dog chases the bird to the tree and barks. The bird taunts the dog. The dog climbs the tree. The hawk throws sticks and acorns, then it poises to do its business, but the dog grabs the Frisbee in its teeth. The hawk grabs the other side of the Frisbee with its talons. They play tug-of-war. The hawk’s mate flies up and pulls on the Frisbee as well. The disk is pulled and slips out of everyone’s grips. It falls to the ground into the boy’s hands. He tosses the Frisbee and the dog pursues. The hawks are left homeless. A woman calls to the boy to go home. She wears a large hat. The hawks fly by the woman and fly off with her hat.
